Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a protected wildlife area in southern part of the general Laikipia region in central Kenya, just north of Nanyuki town. Established in the late eighties, originally as a cattle ranch, Ol Pejeta has gradually developed into a world class wildlife sanctuary and is now a famous and significant wildlife conservancy for the protection of endangered species. Ol Pejeta also boasts of being one of the best places to spot a number of animals including Rhino, Lions as well as Chimapnzee.

Maisha Sweetwaters Camp is accessible either by road or by air. There are daily scheduled flights from Nairobi Wilson airport to Nanyuki airport. The camp is just about a 30 minute drive from this airport. One can also drive up from Nairobi to the camp and is is approximately a 3.5 hour drive alsomost all the way being on a good tarred highway.
